THC and CBD compounds have been in the news a lot and patients are seeking to have access to these medications increasingly for chronic non cancer pain. As such, Dr Granot is now an approved prescriber through the Therapeutic Goods Administration for these products, made by the Tilray company.
This means that patients no longer need to wait for authority to prescribe and release the medication, but are simply given a standard S8 script and can take this to the appropriate chemist. Also, it means that repeats are easy to obtain and dispense.
This adds another option for managing pain in neurology patients, from migraine, headache, nerve pain (nerve damage such as neuropathy as well as MS).
