We are delighted to welcome Dr Tal Koren to East Neurology. Dr Koren is a consultant neurologist (FRACP) with subspecialty expertise in neuroimmunology — the diagnosis and modern treatment of autoimmune diseases of the nervous system — and will begin consulting in Bondi Junction in July 2026.
Expanding our subspecialty care
Dr Koren brings dedicated expertise in multiple sclerosis (MS), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), MOG antibody disease, autoimmune encephalitis, myasthenia gravis, CIDP (chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy) and neurosarcoidosis. His appointment brings this care to patients across the eastern suburbs and wider Sydney — accurate diagnosis and access to the newest treatments.
Neuroimmunology is one of the fastest-moving fields in medicine, with a wave of new high-efficacy therapies transforming outcomes.
About Dr Koren
Dr Koren completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne and his neurology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital, followed by a dedicated neuroimmunology fellowship at RPA. He is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney and is undertaking a Master of Philosophy in the MS Research Group at the Brain and Mind Centre, University of Sydney, studying radiological biomarkers of MS disease progression.
