A new analysis of the medical literature shows a worrying association between stroke and prior marijuana use, after looking at a total of 64 patients.

  • 81% showed marijuana use under 24 hours prior to the stroke.
  • 22% of patients had another stroke after subsequent re-exposure to cannabis

Half had other risk factors for stroke, including tobacco smoking (34%) and alcohol (11%) consumption.
